  i was in new york city last week.

  the first time in many years.

  one couldn't help but notice how many people there are in the world, thousands, millions....billions.. any major city in the world can give you this sense of the vast sea of humanity.

  i was wondering if any long time jw's that are now pomo's here on the forum now act in a leadership role within another religious organization?.

  i do and would enjoy a bit of conversation with this (i assume minority) "sub-culture" of ex-jw's.

  my judicial committee was set for monday.

  the message says to call back asap and that he loves me, but he said it like "i love ya, girl" he never has said that to me like that.

  so, i call back and he says i have been a hard person to get a hold of and that confused me because i had not received any calls from him.

  Something I just realized!

  now that i'm out if i ever do find someone and settle down and start a family, my parents wont be a part of it.

  my dad wont walk me down the isle if i get married, if i have kids they wont know their grandparents.

  oh and by the way i had my freaking tubes tied so as not to have kids in this system.

  Hate Mail

  i'm starting to get my first hate mail because of my book.

  two people sent the book back to me (unread of course) with notes about jehovah's vengeance.

  one person tore it up and sent me a note.. however, i know of two born in jws that read it.

  many of you have asked about my story, so here it is.

  it's a bit long lol.

  however i still loved jeremy but because he wasn’t a witness i knew i could never be with him and have my family.

  Thanks for posting, we all deserve to be happy. Look after yourself and become your own parent, I know it even at 55. Self love is so important. If you can do anything to advance your career to become more independent do so.

  Build your own authentic life going forward.

  Interesting observations at an SDA church

  i’ve just attended a sda church service today.

  i have to say the attendance was similar to what i would expect to see in a jw service.

  the style and nature of the service was also very jwish (formal, drab and boring).

  I went once or twice on my journey out of JW. The only weird thing was the Ellen White idolatry slant. Other than that it's fine if you're into such a thing. Personally I'll never be an active member of any faith group again, can't stand having to answer to anyone and have to give up any of my freedom. The tithing is totally unacceptable.
